Go to the Sender Rules page and select the Allowed Senders tab. This tab lists every whitelisting rule on your account and lets you add new ones.
What an allowed sender rule does
When a rule matches an incoming email's sender address:
- Spam checks are bypassed — the email is marked with a spam score of
0and is never flagged or quarantined. - Delivery is guaranteed — emails are forwarded immediately to your destination inbox, ensuring you don't miss important verification links, signup confirmations, or newsletters.
Rules apply across all your aliases. Whitelisting newsletter@trusted.com allows that sender to reach any alias on your account.
The three allow types
Exact Email — whitelists one specific address. Use this for specific senders or newsletters.
Example: noreply@bank.com
Entire Domain (Pro Feature) — whitelists every address from a given domain. Useful when a whole organization is trusted.
Example: entering github.com allows all communications from any GitHub system address.
Pattern / Wildcard (Pro Feature) — whitelists addresses matching a pattern. Use * to match any number of characters, ? to match a single character.
Example: billing-*@company.com
Adding a rule
Click Add Allowed Sender. Choose the match type, enter the address, domain, or pattern, and optionally add a reason so you remember why you allowed it later. Click Add Rule to save.
Toggling and deleting rules
- Toggle: Click the toggle switch on any rule to pause/disable it without deleting it. When a rule is off, the sender's emails will be processed using your default spam settings.
