    Cookie Policy

    Last updated July 10, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how AliasFleet uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website or use our services.

    What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your browser or device that help websites remember your preferences, maintain sessions, and provide core functionality. We also use similar technologies like local storage for certain features.

    Cookies We Use

    Essential Cookies (Required)

These cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be disabled. Without them, core features would not work. These are first-party cookies set by our own infrastructure.

sb-refresh-tokenToken refresh for extended sessions7 days

    • Keep you logged in securely
    • Maintain your active session across page navigations
    • Protect against CSRF attacks
    • Enable secure API requests
    • Protect our infrastructure from malicious bot traffic (via Cloudflare)

Note: The authentication cookies are set by our own infrastructure and are also utilized by our browser extensions (Chrome and Firefox, with our Edge extension currently under review) to verify your identity and support seamless email alias management.

    Functional Cookies

These cookies enhance your experience by remembering your preferences. You can disable these, but some conveniences will be lost.

    • Remember your theme preference (light/dark mode)
    • Store dashboard view preferences (list vs. grid)
    • Retain sort order for alias lists
    • Keep notification preferences

    Analytics and Performance Cookies

We use PostHog for minimal product analytics to help us understand feature usage, monitor application performance, and identify areas for improvement. We also use Sentry for error tracking.

    Cookie NamePurposeDuration
ph_* (PostHog)Captured by PostHog to analyze pageviews, feature adoption, and browser/device metadata.1 year

    What we track via PostHog:

    • Pageview URLs and navigation flows
    • Browser, operating system, and device information
    • Identified user details (specifically email address and full name for registered users only)
    • General feature usage and adoption rates

    What we do NOT track:

    • Individual email content or message bodies passing through your aliases
    • Passwords or other authentication credentials
    • Session replay or video recordings of your browsing sessions (disabled entirely)
    • Browsing activity outside of AliasFleet

Sentry (Error Monitoring): We use Sentry to capture software errors, bugs, and API performance issues. Sentry does not use persistent tracking cookies, does not perform session replays, and does not collect personally identifiable information (PII) from your browsing session.

    Third-Party Cookies

Only our payment processor sets third-party cookies:

    Stripe (Payment Processing):

    • Fraud detection and prevention
    • Payment security verification
    • Compliance with PCI DSS requirements
    • Set only during checkout and billing management

    Local Storage and Session Storage

In addition to cookies, we use browser storage for:

    • Draft aliases: Temporarily saved alias configurations
    • Form data: Unsaved changes in settings forms
    • Cache: Recently viewed alias data (for faster loading)

This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly save.

    Managing Your Preferences

    In Your Account

Go to Settings → Privacy to control:

    • Analytics participation (opt-out available)
    • Functional cookie preferences
    • Data export options

    In Your Browser

    Most browsers allow you to:

    • Block all cookies (will break functionality)
    • Block third-party cookies only
    • Delete cookies on browser close
    • View and delete individual cookies

Note: Disabling essential cookies will prevent login and core functionality.

    Cookie Security

    • All cookies are marked Secure (HTTPS only)
    • Authentication cookies are HttpOnly (inaccessible to JavaScript)
    • Session cookies use SameSite=Strict protection

    Policy Updates

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in technology or regulations. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.

    Hosting and Server Jurisdiction

All cookie data, analytics metadata, and user information are stored on dedicated servers leased from a third-party infrastructure provider located in France and Germany (European Union jurisdiction). We transfer data in transit securely via TLS encryption.

AliasFleet processes cookie and analytics data in strict compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
