Grouping changes how your alias list is organised — instead of one flat list, aliases are divided into sections based on whatever you're grouping by.
How to group
In the controls bar above your alias list, there's a Group by dropdown. Pick one of the options and the list reorganises immediately.
Group by category
Aliases are split into sections by their assigned category — Shopping, Finance, Social, etc. Aliases without a category appear under "Uncategorized" at the bottom.
This is probably the most useful grouping if you use categories actively. It gives you a clear picture of how many aliases you have in each area of your life.
Group by domain
If you have aliases spread across multiple domains, this splits them by domain name. Useful when you're auditing which domain each alias is on, or if you're planning to remove a domain and need to see what would be affected.
Group by status
Separates active aliases from inactive ones. Handy for a periodic clean-up — see all your inactive aliases in one place and decide which ones to delete.
Collapsing groups
Each group has a collapse/expand toggle in its header. Click it to fold the group out of the way. Collapsed groups stay collapsed until you expand them — so you can focus on one group at a time without the others cluttering the view.
Turning grouping off
Set the Group by dropdown back to None and the list returns to a flat view.
