Deleting an alias is permanent. The address is gone, you can't get it back, and anyone who sends to it after deletion will get a bounce.
How to delete
Open the three-dot menu on any alias card and choose Delete. You'll get a confirmation dialog — read it, then confirm.
On the alias detail page, there's also a delete option in the settings section at the bottom.
What you lose
- The alias address itself (can't be recreated or recovered)
- All forwarding history and stats for that alias
- Any custom settings or descriptions you set on it
The alias is removed from your account and your alias count goes down by one.
What the sender sees
Anyone who sends to the deleted address gets a bounce — same as if the address never existed. Nothing links it back to your account or real email.
Before you delete
Consider whether deactivating is enough. A deactivated alias stops email immediately and keeps all your history. You can reactivate it at any time. Deletion is only worth it if you genuinely won't need that address again and want to keep your alias list clean.
If the alias is on a custom domain and you're about to remove that domain, delete the aliases first — or at least be aware that domain removal will break them anyway.
Deleting multiple aliases
There's no bulk-delete option at the moment. You'll need to delete aliases one at a time.
