To use an alias on a website, you need to copy the full address and paste it into the email field on that site.
From the alias card
On the aliases page, each card has a copy icon. Click it and the full alias address (e.g. name@aliasfleet.me or your custom domain) is copied to your clipboard. A brief confirmation appears to let you know it worked.
In list view the copy icon is on the right side of each row.
From the alias detail page
Click into any alias to open its detail page. The full alias address is shown near the top with a copy button next to it. Click that to copy.
After you copy
Go to whatever site or form you're filling in and paste it. The alias starts forwarding immediately — there's no activation step after pasting it somewhere. As long as the alias is active, any email sent to it will arrive in your inbox.
If the copy doesn't work
Browser clipboard access occasionally fails in certain environments. If clicking the copy icon doesn't seem to work:
- Check your browser hasn't blocked clipboard permissions for the site
- Select the alias address text manually and copy with Ctrl+C / Cmd+C
- On mobile, long-press the address text to get the copy option from your OS
The alias address text is always selectable directly — you don't need the button.
