Every destination needs to be verified before AliasFleet will forward mail to it. Verification proves you own the inbox.
How it works
When you add a destination, a 6-digit code is sent to that address. Enter it on the verification screen to confirm ownership. Alternatively, click the verification link in the email — it does the same thing without needing to type the code.
The code expires after 15 minutes. If you miss it, use Resend email to get a fresh one. There's a 30-second cooldown between resend requests.
Failed attempts
You get 3 attempts to enter the correct code. After 3 wrong entries, verification is locked for 15 minutes. This is a security measure — the lockout applies per destination address and resets automatically after the time is up.
Once the lockout clears, request a new code with Resend email and try again.
Re-verifying an existing destination
If a destination's verification somehow lapses (rare, but can happen), you can re-verify from the Destinations page. Find the destination, open its menu, and choose Reverify. A new code is sent and the process is the same as the first time.
Verification email in spam
Verification emails are sent from AliasFleet's system. Some providers (especially strict corporate email filters) occasionally send them to spam or junk. If the email isn't in your inbox within a couple of minutes, check there first.
Adding the sending address to your contacts or safe senders list avoids this on future verifications.
