Each domain in your Domains list has a status badge and a health indicator. Here's what each one means.
Status badges
Active — DNS records are verified and the domain is working. Aliases on this domain will forward normally.
DNS Pending — The domain has been added and DNS records have been set, but they haven't verified yet. This is the normal state right after you add records — just wait for propagation and check again.
Setup Required — You haven't added the DNS records yet, or you started but didn't complete setup. Click Continue Setup to pick up where you left off.
Suspended — The domain has been suspended, usually due to a policy issue. Contact support if you see this unexpectedly.
Health indicators
Visible once a domain is active, the health indicator gives a quick read on whether all DNS records are still intact:
All DNS records verified — Everything is in order. Green text.
Some records missing — One or more of SPF, DKIM, or DMARC has disappeared or changed. Email may still forward (MX is the critical one) but deliverability and reply features may be affected. Check your DNS settings.
MX record missing — The most serious state. Without the MX record, email can't be delivered to your domain at all. Forwarding stops for all aliases on this domain. Fix this immediately.
Why records go missing
DNS records can disappear if:
- You accidentally deleted one while editing something else
- Your domain was transferred and DNS records didn't carry over
- You changed nameservers and the new provider started with a blank zone
- A third-party DNS manager reset your records
If your domain was working and suddenly isn't, check the health indicator first. It usually pinpoints the problem.
