Monthly billing
You're charged on the same date each month — the date you first subscribed. So if you upgraded on the 15th, you're billed on the 15th of every month going forward.
Annual billing
You're charged once a year on your subscription anniversary date. Annual billing is cheaper per month than paying monthly.
Seeing your next renewal date
Go to Billing. Under your current plan it shows the next billing date and the amount that will be charged.
Renewals and failed payments
Stripe charges your saved payment method automatically on the renewal date. If the payment fails, you'll get an email from Stripe and a warning banner appears on the billing page. You have a short grace period to update your payment method before access is affected.
If you update the payment method before the grace period ends, Stripe retries the charge automatically.
Switching billing cycles
You can switch between monthly and annual through the Stripe customer portal — go to Billing → Manage Subscription. The switch usually takes effect at the next renewal, not immediately.
Pro-rating
When you upgrade mid-cycle, Stripe charges a prorated amount for the remaining days in the current period, then bills the full amount on your normal renewal date going forward.
